The Red Telephone Box Tearoom is a quaint cafe nestled in Croft, Warrington, that seems designed for a relaxed, unhurried pace. Tucked away near a small pond, its outdoor seating area creates a calm spot where you can enjoy your tea while watching the gentle ripples on the water. It’s the kind of place where locals might stop by for a mid-morning break or a slow afternoon, especially appealing to those seeking a peaceful spot outside the usual high street bustle.

The atmosphere inside offers a cozy warmth, particularly on colder days when the log fire is lit, paired with inviting wooden interiors that encourage lingering over a pot of tea. This makes it an easy choice for quiet catch-ups or solitary reading sessions. Tea is, unsurprisingly, the star here, served traditionally in China cups with generous pots. Light lunches like ham salad or a Ploughman’s provide a solid, no-fuss meal option that appeals well to walkers, cyclists, or anyone looking for a satisfying but simple bite.

Families seem well catered for, with staff attentive to little guests, providing thoughtful touches such as a pot of marshmallows for children. Dogs are also welcome, and cyclists will find ample, secure bike parking, reinforcing the tearoom’s role as a local stopover destination rather than a flashy hotspot. The tearoom handles busier times gracefully, keeping service friendly and efficient without feeling rushed.

Whether you choose the indoors during colder months—where the fire and rustic decor provide welcome comfort—or a sunny afternoon outdoors by the pond, The Red Telephone Box Tearoom invites visitors who appreciate charm that’s quiet but genuine. It’s not for those seeking a bustling café scene but suits those who enjoy simple, well-prepared tea and cakes paired with warm hospitality in a tranquil village setting.

Lovely little cafe tucked away in a picturesque spot. Happened upon it by accident but had a lovely cuppa and tea cake sat outside by the pond. Staff were very friendly and accommodating of my 4 year old, giving him a pot of marshmallows and a kids cup for his orange juice.

This is a quaint tearoom with lovely views and great service. I opted for one of todays specials, which was chicken and greek salad wrap. It was very nice, as was the americano coffee I had with it. My bill came to £10.30, which is comparable with other cafes in the general area. It is very cycle friendly with plenty of facilities and space to secure your bike. It is also a dog friendly tearoom. If you visit on a road bike, just be careful as the entrance road to the tearoom, which is about 30m long, is covered in loose stones. The car park has plenty of spaces. However, there are a few to many large potholes. I wouldn't let the road and carpark put you off as it is a great tearoom and well worth a visit.

Lovely little tea room. Friendly staff, great food, lovely big pot of tea in China tea cups. The cakes were lovely. You can sit inside or out by the lovely little lake. Plenty of parking. We went this time for my husband's birthday and had the Christmas Cream Tea, delicious . The staff were busy but we couldn't fault the service.

Cute little cafe with friendly staff. They do sandwiches, cakes, afternoon tea, have dairy free milks and gluten free options. And a lovely outdoor area. Will be coming back!

Delightful little place. We came on a snowy day in November, and they had a log fire blazing. Combined with the wooden interior, the place was very cosy. Scone and ginger cake delicious, and tea very nice too. Staff lovely and friendly.

What an absolute gem of a place, from the Red Telephone box that marks the entrance on the main road to the quaint cabin style tea room with it's log burner & Chesterfield chairs. The pot of tea for 2 was perfect in it's Chiba Cups, the toasties were excellent & very tasty. Really enjoyed the Potato & Leek soup too. The cake & brownies with Ice Cream really filled the gap. The service was warm & welcoming too & we were well looked after. We were extremely impressed & will return many times. Thankyou for a lovely experience today.

Cute little cafe with a dog friendly, covered, outdoor seating area. We were offered seats cushions and blankets, which was much appreciated. The afternoon tea was delicious and the staff were very friendly.

Just perfect. We celebrated my sisters baby shower here and honestly don't think there's a better place in Warrington to hold it. Managed to seat 23 people. Some dietary requirements, which were perfectly met. Staff are so attentive and full of care for their customers and food! 100% recommend for a light lunch, afternoon tea or for an event!
